Rally: Say no to austerity

November 17, 2014

The Liberal government of Philippe Couillard is proceeding to literally dismantle the welfare state in Quebec by imposing the severest austerity measures in our province’s history. After running an election campaign focused on developing Quebec and creating jobs, he is now seeking to cut public services and social programs by more than $5 billion over the next two years.

We are not going to let this happen. He was not elected for the purpose of overhauling the fundamental mandates of the Quebec state which help to set us apart from the rest of North America as a unique society.

Say no to austerity! Join us at the public demonstrations taking part simultaneously in Quebec City and Montréal on November 29 at 1:00 p.m.

Bus service to the demonstration sites will be available from cities across Quebec.
